Big Boy Bed!
We just returned from our week at the Jersey shore (Ocean City). Stay tuned for some great pictures and updates. We had a great time.
But we just had to post this picture before sharing photos and adventures from vacation. On vacation we brought our pack-n-play. The first night we put Noah to bed, and walked out of the bedroom to the living room, heard a little thump, then a door opening, and the patter of little feet. And there was Noah, sucking on his Pacie with a big smile on his face. The pack-n-play was no match for this little monkey! He EASILY climbed right out...everytime he had to nap or go to bed. The second we left the room he would immediately climb out of bed, open the door, and come out to the living room with a big smile on his face. The only way to get him to sleep was for one of us to stay in the room with him and tell him over and over to stay in bed.
We came home early today, and around 1 oclock put a very tired little boy into his big crib. Within 30 seconds there was a "thump", and a little boy with a big smile on his face was at the top of the stairs! Well, within 30 minutes, the 2 doors to his room (to the hall and to the bathroom) and child proof knobs, anything that could fall off a shelf was gone, and Noah's crib was transformed into a "big boy" bed (toddler)! We had all the parts; we just hadn't thought it was necesary yet. But today was the day!
Well, he had a hard time going to sleep for his nap, getting in and getting out and in and out and in and ..... well you get the idea. And right now David is writing this sitting outside Noah's room on the floor in the hall. Noah is just about falling asleep, but was very very sad going to bed tonight. He has been in and out and in and out....and I promised him I would sit out here until he fell asleep...and he keeps coming out to check on me! Probably a dozen times so far in the last 20 minutes. He comes over, gives me a hug, and goes right back to his bed.
How about this little big boy!?
