The End of a Busy Week....

It's late Sunday and we're all watching the Giants. It's been a busy week. Aunt Erin was here visiting early in the week, and as you'll notice from the comments, we've been neglectful showing you what a great visit we all had. Erin was a pro with the diapers and had them on and off before we could even see...and not only was she a big help for Noah, but was such a big help to his mom and dad! The meatloaf was great by the way, and we still have some frozen.

Today was busy. Summer is over, and our beautiful patio plants and tomatoes have faded, so David and Noah spent the morning cutting back and throwing out the plants. Once we put all the pots aways, we borrowed our neighbor Joe's leaf blower to clear off all the leaves and mess from the patio. Noah liked this part the best. While the boys were working hard Mom got a chance to sleep a little late til the sound of the leaf blower woke her up!

Of course Noah would have rather he slept late too rather than being forced to do yard work at less than 4 weeks old (tomorrow is his 4 week birthday!). When we got inside he made it clear and probably was saying: "Gee dad...I had so much fun I could just puke". And, well, you can see for yourself how he repaid his dad....

In all seriousness....Noah is changing by the day. Today we really notice him looking directly at things and tracking (for a short time). But he clearly looks right at his mom and dad (though we sometimes are afraid to guess what he's thinking). Today for the first time he has been "fussy" and seemingly only wants us to hold and cuddle him...before today his fussy periods were either dirty diapers or hunger, but we really have a sense he now likes to be held. His eyes are brighter, he's grown into his tubby, his cloths aren't big anymore, and he really is a happy little guy...most of the time--as you can see in these next pictures.

Samantha and Benjamin sent this and call it a "Mooey". You can tell he loves it. Just as you can see Noah is sleepy, and the Giants just scored (it's 23 to 20), we'll say good night for now. Tomorrow will be another busy day. Love from the Porters........
