Busy Day

Hope you all are enjoying the blog. The site is becoming harder to work on. The first few nights everything worked so easily. Now it takes such a long time to log on and download images, our entries may be slowing down. Patience still isn't one of David's best attributes.
But his patience is getting better. We were "playing" this morning and waiting for Kathy to get out of the shower--we had an early doctor's appointment--and both of us kind of drifted off.
We all went back to the pediatrician today. Noah got a gold star! His weight is up 6 oz. in 4 days. 1/2 ounce/day is considered enough, and he's been gaining more than 1 ounce/day the last few days. They felt he was doing so well that he didn't have to go back for 2 months as long as he keeps eating and growing!
We did have a little trouble getting to the doctor's office though. We were a little late. David changed a wet diaper at 7:30 when Noah woke up (last ate at 4:30 am). Kathy was feeding him, and changed a poopy diaper at 8:00 and went to shower. After our little nap above, Noah was fussy and had another poopy diaper that David changed. On the way out the door he somehow pee'd all out his diaper and all over his cloths. That's 4 diapers in 1 hours and 2 outfits. So we were a little late getting out the door. Our sisters seem to take some morbid pleasure in our rapid "education", but ......
He did so well with the doctor, that we took him for a treat. We all went to Radnor Valley to have lunch. This was Noah's first trip to the golf course, and all of mommy and daddy's friends there were so excited to see him. We were thankful that they were also all very respectful, and no one asked to touch or hold him. The pediatrician felt Noah could go out if away from crowds, and strangers weren't holding him.

Our cousins Ansel and Ruth sent cowboy longjohns. Look how easy it's going to be to change these diapers!

Well, another day is over. What a great week. David goes to work tomorrow for part of the day, and is not looking forward to it. Next week he'll be back full time, but is really hoping to keep lighter hours and spend more time at home. Kathy has been amazing and will easily manage no matter what.
