Look at the picture--found him like this first thing this morning--looks like the little guy sleeps just like his Poppy!
This was an eventful day. Noah had a circumcision today. We opted not to have a briss for a few reasons. Partly, the 8th day would be mid week, families are scattered, etc... It was done by one the obstetricians (one of our favorites) who helped in the delivery, and she broke the rules and allowed David to be there with Noah. I was so proud of him! He cried when she put on the velcro restraints on his legs, and while i'm sure he didn't know what was happening, he held my hand through the entire procedure and otherwise was fine through it all! What a champ!
We had bacon/egg and cheese on a roll (both of us!) for breakfast/lunch, and this was kathy's first solid real food. Since it went down so well, we should be going home tomorrow. I think when we get home I will buy one those really small vinyl pull out chairs, cover it with the oldest bed sheet we can find, put it next to an air conditioner and fan on full strength, and use it to sleep on. It will remind me of the very relaxing nights here in the hospital!
Finally...Noah figured out how to breast feed! I guess you could say "he really sucks", but that doesn't sound right. Got his picture taken today by the hospital photographer, but didn't really want to sit still....was more interested in dinner time.
To get things off to the right start, we're going on our first post-baby date. We're going for chinese food, David wheeling Kathy to dinner....I think that picture is sure to grace one of these "blogs" in the near future!
