Day 4: Still here, and taking requests

Well, we were all hoping to be home today but ran into a little glitch. Noah has been running a low blood sugar all day. It's not exactly clear why, but tonight one of the pediatricians came up with an easy and possibly obvious answer. We should know by morning. If his blood sugar stays up, hopefully we can all go home tomorrow. He is getting his blood sugar checked by having his (very little) heal pricked every 3 hours. He's so tough, he doesn't even flinch! One thing for sure is he's pooping plenty! That's a good sign, unless you have to change the diaper!

David went home today. Finished putting together Noah's new bassinet from Grammy and Grampy, and tried to resusitate/rescue some of our plants. Our petunias were the worst, the coleus is gorgeous and survived, and the Hibiscus from Connecticut has come back from the dead! It has new leaves!! Also found a cricket living in our patio plants that we can put a saddle on and let Noah ride! A bit scary when it jumped out of the plants he was watering.

It FINALLY happened (well, day 4 is not really "finally", but....). David leaned over to kiss Noah's tiny little foot, as Kathy was changing his diaper, and then BAM....urine everywhere! The little bugger got him! And his T shirt, and the bed sheets, and anything else close! He learned....

We ordered pizza for dinner...got a couple extra for the nurses. They've really been great through everything. I'm starving but Kathy won't let me eat til Noah finishes his bottle...I guess this is the beginning of things to come!

On another note, we got a request for a close up. Here are 2........ (Also, we'll try and send them by email).

So the blog started off as something silly, but i'm having some fun with it, and will continue. Note that as you are reading any entry there is a field at the bottom that says "Comments". We think if you click on that you can comment on the entry, photos, etc.... That way we will know who looked at these, and what you thought.....
